A Hug From Heaven

A display of my wardrobe

Affixed for your remembrance

A familiar touch from Heaven

Made of my most worn fabrics

Admire my attire

To reflect on all my love

Embrace my favorite necklines

If you ever need a hug

Scuffle with my buttons

When you’re longing for my voice

Or lay eyes on what I wore

When we made memories that brought joy

If you need to sense my presence

Place a hand inside my pocket

Or gently warm your spirit

With your quilt made of my garments

Let the seams remind you

That I haven’t gone too far

As close they are together

Is how near I am in heart

I LOVED each and every moment of creating these sentimental gifts!
Where it all began with Mrs. Jo’s shirts… Gina had her mom’s clothes in her closet and asked if I could make her sister a blanket from the shirts as a special surprise birthday gift. Karen thought the clothes had been thrown out- little did she know they were actually getting cut! I was so nervous.

*SPECIAL thanks to my mother-in-love, Michelle, who shared SO much of her time guiding me toward success with my first quilt!! I treasure all of the memories we got to make together.

Did I really have to get this many pictures with the quilt? You bet I did! This felt like quite the accomplishment.
